Beyoncé’s recent collaboration with Ed Sheeran, “Perfect,” has earned the superstar singer her sixth Hot 100 No. 1 as a soloist. Billboard reports that on the chart dated Dec. 23, the song lands in the No. 1 spot, fueled largely by first week sales for duet version of the Sheeran song. The song was first featured on Sheeran’s latest album, Divide, and the duets version dropped at the end of November.  In its first full tracking week, ending Dec. 7, the song sold 181,000 downloads, up 202 percent, according to Nielsen Music.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 75th annual Golden Globes awards show on Monday morning, which included plenty of familiar faces. Issa Rae landed a  nod for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series for Season 2 of her HBO comedy Insecure, and Mary J. Blige earned her first supporting actress nod for her role in Netflix drama Mudbound. Jordan Peele’s Get Out will be up for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.

Gucci Mane’s El Gator The Human Glacier is arriving just in time for the holidays. He has announced a December 22 release date for the LP. The product is a testament to Gucci’s relentless work ethic, since according to him the whole album was recorded in just two days. Gucci has not revealed the cover art or tracklist for the project at this time.

DJ Mustard and a friend were detained after a gun was discovered during a TSA screening at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday, December 8. According to reports, Mustard and his associate was attempting to catch a flight out, when one of their bags were singled out for containing a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol. Police allege that both men tried to walk away without claiming the bag, but were stopped and detained by police officers.

Black Bo, the longtime manager of Rick Ross, has passed away at the age of 56. Rozay broke the news at Art Basel 2017 during a Maxim party on Friday night (December 8). No details about Black’s death have emerged and Ross hasn’t mentioned it on social media at this time. Black had been extremely active on social media until November 17. Other artists, including French Montana and Wale, have confirmed the news of passing with condolence messages on Instagram.
