The rumors about Aretha Franklin’s declining health are reportedly just that — rumors, according to a reporter who has been covering the Queen of Soul. Her friends “spoke to Aretha moments ago and asked me to tell you please don’t believe this news that was trending,” Shaun Robinson, host of Access Hollywood, tweeted Tuesday morning. A gossip news site reported Tuesday morning that Franklin had been hospitalized and her friends were preparing for her death from cancer.

Rapper Cassidy was arrested on Sunday afternoon in Jersey City for marijuana possession. Law enforcement say they caught the Philly emcee with marijuana in clear view on the dash board. Cassidy was booked possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The officers also discovered that Cassidy had an outstanding warrant in a different county for the same offense, so he now has two court dates pending.

Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage jump one of the hottest songs out right now. The video for “Krippy Kush” has over 450 million views since its release in August. 

On Sunday 11/19, Kendrick Lamar won big when his DAMN project took home the trophy for Favorite Hip-Hop Album at the 2017 American Music Awards. Other winners included Drake for Favorite Artist Rap/Hip-Hop, DJ Khaled’s “I’m The One” won Favorite Song Rap/Hip-Hop, and Beyoncé won for Favorite Female Artist Soul/R&B.

Irv Gotti, who has collaborated with a lot of superstars over the years, says he’s now getting the chance to work with Yeezy himself. The Murder Inc. founder reveals that he is currently working with Kanye West on “something enormous,” but declined to say exactly what it was. Gotti posted a photo of him and West on Instagram, in which they are posing outside in a parking lot.
