This might be the first time a person ever got arrested for stealing their own bodily fluids. 30-year-old Ernest Akins of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky was pulled over last March for drunk driving. And a judge ordered him to submit his urine for drug tests once a month as part of his probation.
So he did, including last month, when he realized it wasn’t going to come back clean. So he busted into the FedEx drop box outside the courthouse, and stole it BACK.
Except he got caught. So he was charged with tampering with evidence, and the court tested his pee ANYWAY, and found heroin, morphine, and opiates in it. That got him another charge, for violating his probation.
He’s due in court later this month.
