Damon Wayans Announces His Departure From ‘Lethal Weapon’

Damon Wayans is set to exit Fox’s television adaptation of Lethal Weapon after production wraps on 13 new episodes for Season 3. Wayans made the announcement Wednesday during an interview, where the actor said his decision to leave the show stemmed from having long work days and wanting to spend more time with his family.  “I’m a 58-year-old diabetic and I’m working 16-hour days,” Wayans said. “Like Murtaugh say, ‘Too old for this.'” Wayans said he plans on returning to stand-up comedy in 2019. Wayans’ departure comes after Seann William Scott just joined Lethal Weapon Season 3 following the firing of original star Clayne Crawford. Scott portrays a new character named Wesley Cole while Crawford had appeared as classic Lethal Weapon character Martin Riggs.

Kaley Cuoco To Voice Harley Quinn For Upcoming DC Universe Animated Series

The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco has a new job, and will voice the title role in the upcoming Harley Quinn animated series. CBS announced in August that The Big Bang Theory will end with its current 12th season. The actress announced the news about Harley Quinn on Wednesday, October 3, during a surprise appearance at New York Comic-Con, where DC Universe also unveiled a teaser for the show. Cuoco told the audience, “I’ve always loved animation. I did it years ago, and I haven’t been in the animation world in a while. [Harley] is so edgy. It’s obviously a very adult comedy, and with such a world-renowned character, it’s been a blast to record.” Cuoco revealed that the series will begin with her character breaking up with The Joker as she becomes the “best badass super villain that there is.” The Harley Quinn voice cast also includes Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Ron Funches, JB Smoove, Jason Alexander, Wanda Sykes, Tony Hale and Chris Meloni, and is expected to premiere in 2019.

Johnny Depp Talks Backlash From Ex-Wife Amber Heard’s Abuse Allegations

Johnny Depp is opening up about the difficult year he’s had after his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, accused him of physically abusing her. According to previous reports, Depp and Heard ended their marriage in early 2017 after she accused him of attacking her and throwing an iPhone in her face, which he denies. At the time, she phoned the police, who arrived and found no evidence of a crime. Depp  agreed to pay her $7 million to finally end the marriage, but still maintains her allegations are completely false. Speaking in an interview with GQ magazine for its November edition, Depp opened up about the backlash he’s received and being labeled an abuser of women. Depp said: “I could feel people look at me differently, because of the accusations towards you. And then people start putting things in magazines: ‘He’s insane. He needs to take a sanity test…’ You know, ludicrous stuff. But the only thing that I could do was know what I still know. Ultimately, the truth will come out in all of this and I will be standing on the right side of the roaring rapids. I hope other people will be too.” Depp confirmed that police found no evidence of wrongdoing on his part when they were called on the day in question, and alleged that Heard refused to let an EMT check her. “We probably shouldn’t be talking about this,” Depp said during his interview, “I am worried. I worry about the people that bought it and I worry about her. It’s just not right. I will never stop fighting. I’ll never stop. They’d have to f—ing shoot me. An episode like this takes time to get over.”
