Actress Gina Rodriguez is facing backlash over a social media post in which she used the n-word. A video posted on her Instagram shows Rodriguez getting her hair done as The Fugees song “Ready or Not” plays in the background. Rodriguez raps “I can do what you do … believe me. (N-word) give me heebie-jeebies.” She later deleted the video but not before people shared it widely on social media.
Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. is facing new charges, which includes two counts of forcible touching and two counts of third-degree sex abuse from a pair of women. The new accusations brings the total number of women who have accused Gooding up to 14, and as many as 12 of them could testify against Gooding, in the hopes of establishing a pattern that would lend credibility to the stories of the two accusers Gooding is currently facing in court.
Zoë Kravitz is set to play Selina Kyle – aka Catwoman – in Matt Reeves’ upcoming The Batman film. Kravitz will play the famous feline antihero alongside Robert Pattinson, who was cast as Bruce Wayne and the Caped Crusader earlier this year.
“Pose” star Billy Porter confirmed over the weekend that he’s signed on to play the fairy godmother in Sony’s “Cinderella,” the forthcoming adaptation of the classic fairy tale starring Camila Cabello as the titular heroine. Idina Menzel is reportedly in talks to play the wicked stepmother.
“Hamilton” star Miguel Cervantes and his wife, Kelly, announced the death of their 3-year-old daughter Adelaide who died over the weekend. In a statement the family said: “The Cervantes family is heartbroken to announce that their baby girl Adelaide Grace passed early Saturday morning. She was held in the loving arms of her family as she peacefully achieved the “calm” for which they’ve been searching for so long.”
