Imagine mistaking this for your straw: A woman in Virginia says she’s traumatized after she went to take a sip of her margarita at a Mexican restaurant, and found a LIVE SNAKE in it. (!!!)
Carletta Andrews was at a place near Richmond this month called The Patron Cantina. She and her husband had just finished eating at the bar when she felt something hit her forehead and asked, “What was that?”
She looked down at her drink and freaked when she saw a BABY snake in her glass. (!!!) She snapped a photo of it wrapping itself around her straw. (Here’s the photo.)
An employee tried to remove the snake with a stick, but then another customer just grabbed it and took it outside. No word on what type of snake it was.
Carletta says an employee offered to move her to a booth, but she just got out of there as fast as possible. They did at least comp her meal.
The owner of the restaurant said the snake must have gotten in through an air conditioner. It apparently fell from the ceiling, bounced off her head, and landed in her drink.
Carletta thinks the place might have a snake infestation, so she’s not going back. But a reporter asked what they’re doing to make sure it doesn’t happen again, and they said, “Nothing.” So, they think it was a fluke.
