It’s hard to believe someone would be angry if you got them two fast food meals on their birthday, but that’s no excuse for violence.
A 34-year-old woman in Florida named Dr. Esha Persad was arrested on Saturday, after she got into a food-related altercation with her husband. (Dr. Persad is a dentist.)
According to the police report, Esha had brought her husband Taco Bell AND McDonald’s for his birthday. He was upset for some reason, maybe he wanted something fancier, and they started arguing.
She claims he threw a bag at her, so she responded by assaulting him with a tortilla from a soft taco. It hit him in the face, and was somehow still there when the officer showed up.
Maybe it was just part of it, but the police report says, “When I arrived, the burrito was still on the victim’s face.” The man was not seriously injured.
Esha was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery.
