A City Put Crossing Signals in the Ground, So People Don’t Walk Into Traffic While Texting

We’re so engrossed in our phones, we’re literally just walking into traffic now.  But it looks like we can just keep doing that, and the world will adjust.

A city in southern Germany called Augsburg just became the first place to embed traffic signals in the GROUND, so people know when it’s safe to cross without looking up.

It’s just a series of lights that start blinking when it’s not safe to cross.  And they added them at two tram stations last week.
