A Woman Donated Her Wedding Reception to a Homeless Shelter After Her Fiancé Ditched Her

A 29-year-old woman from L.A. named Dana Olsen was supposed to get married in Seattle this past Saturday.  But about six weeks ago, her fiancé got cold feet and DITCHED her, and it was too late to get the deposit back.   So instead of canceling the reception, she decided to throw a huge party for a HOMELESS shelter called Mary’s Place, that’s specifically for women and kids.

And a group of hair stylists and make-up artists agreed to help out, so all the women at the shelter got makeovers.

Then they went to the reception venue with the kids for a huge dinner, and candles and flower arrangements were on every table.  And the wedding band still showed up too, so there was also a dance floor.

Dana says she knew it was going to be a hard day for her, so she wanted to make sure someone ELSE had a really good day.
