This guy set out to prove he wasn’t a loser. And wow, did he fail miserably. 20-year-old Scout Hodge of Austin, Texas was in a bad mood last week, because he’d been thinking about two things: One, complex geopolitical politics. And two, whether people thought he was a LOSER.
Apparently he’d been watching a show about politics, it’s not really clear. But he concocted a plan to make himself feel better about both things. First, he took a lighter and set a Syria hat on fire.
We’re not sure what that is, maybe a hat with the word Syria on it? Or the Syrian flag? Who has those lying around? Then he put the hat on a rug in his apartment, and recorded it all for Instagram.
We’re not sure why he thought that would rectify his “loser” status, but it definitely didn’t. Because unfortunately the RUG caught fire too.
His mom yelled at him and called the fire department, but Scout put her in a bear hug and wouldn’t let her open the door. So the firefighters had to bust in and put the fire out. And Scout was charged with felony arson. What a loser.
