After months of buildup — including Los Angeles performances of their new album The Mountain in full, and the U.S. debut of their ‘House of Kong’ exhibition — Gorillaz have officially announced their first major North American run since 2022.
The 22-city arena tour, produced by Live Nation, launches September 17 in Orlando, with major stops including Miami’s Kaseya Center, New York’s Madison Square Garden, Chicago’s United Center, Montreal’s Bell Centre, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum and Austin’s Moody Center before wrapping at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena. Along the way, the band will headline Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Music Festival on September 18.
The animated group will once again be brought to life by co-creators Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, with Albarn joined by the full Gorillaz live ensemble and a rotating lineup of special guests. Little Simz will appear on most dates, while Deltron 3030 is set to open every show.
The trek supports the band’s ninth studio album, The Mountain, which is comprised of a collection of 15 songs, and features artists and collaborators including: Ajay Prasanna, Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash, Anoushka Shankar, Asha Bhosle, Asha Puthli, Bizarrap, Black Thought, Gruff Rhys, Idles, Jalen Ngonda, Johnny Marr, Kara Jackson, Omar Souleyman, Paul Simonon, Sparks, Trueno and Yasiin Bey; as well as the voices of friends and collaborators including Bobby Womack, Dave Jolicoeur, Dennis Hopper, Mark E Smith, Proof and Tony Allen.
