It’s Mother’s Day weekend, and ladies, I’ve gotta ask: Do you regularly drive a tank-sized SUV roughly 0.7 miles to practice? Do you get fired up hearing the phrase “tournament weekend”? Have you mastered the art of changing clothes in a parking lot? If so, you could be a winner!
There’s a new contest to find America’s Coolest Soccer Mom. One lucky winner will receive $1,000, a customized tumbler, and a “nugget-dipping tray.” (???) You can enter yourself, or nominate your favorite soccer mom.
Here’s how it works:
1. Record a brief video two minutes or less making YOUR case for the crown. It can be anything: Show off how you stock your kids’ sports ride, or give a “direct-to-camera” testimonial. They WANT to see the chaos, and some creativity.
2. You will also submit contact information, and a “cool mom vibe paragraph” detailing some of the insanity. (In 300 words or less.)
Applications are due by Thursday, May 21st. And you can nominate your hardworking mom, but mother AND the submitter both need to be 18.
3. A panel of judges will vote, and select four finalists, “based on energy, personality, and mindset.” This will happen by May 26th.
4. Finalist videos will be made available for a public vote.
5. The winner will be crowned, and the nugget tray will be mailed out. Expect an announcement by June 1st.
