New Trend: Snake Yoga

You’ve probably heard of goat yoga before.  It’s where people do yoga and let goats walk all over them.

Well, someone decided to take that trend and turn it into a living nightmare.

People are now paying to do yoga with SNAKES.  (So that’s what “cobra pose” means!)  It’s from a reptile shop called HISSS.  And of course, the idea originated in Portland, Oregon.

Here’s how it works.  An instructor leads the class while staff “carefully” handle the reptiles.  And in case you’re wondering, the snakes are mostly pythons and boa constrictors.

There’s even a baby boa named Mango.  How cute right?

Some people are there because they love snakes, and others come to face their fears.   And they say a lot of people end up loving the feeling.  One student even compared the snakes to a weighted blanket.

Here’s what the instructor had to say, “That firm constriction almost feels like a yoga adjustment or a gentle massage.”

(Alright, who’s coming with me?  Look at how much fun this lady is having.)
