They say the quickest way to someone’s heart is through their stomach, and if you can’t cook, you need: A food delivery app.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day, the love experts at DoorDash put together lists of the MOST ROMANTIC and MOST INTIMATE states, based on the data they have on orders for flowers, chocolates, and sweets.
And also NAUGHTY items, too. Yes, some people order those through DoorDash. And no, those orders are apparently NOT that private. Go figure.
The most romantic state is: Delaware. The people there ordered the most flowers, chocolates, plushies, and balloons during the week of Valentine’s Day last year.
Maryland is the second-most romantic, followed by Rhode Island, Ohio, Michigan, Virginia, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada, and North Carolina. (Many of those states are bunched together, so maybe lazy, “delivered” romance is contagious!)
The most intimate state is Nevada. The people in our state order the most intimate stuff around Valentine’s Day, like condoms, lubricants, and adult toys.
Maryland, Rhode Island, and Ohio were next on that list. The rest of the Top 10 is: Utah, Delaware, Arizona, Virginia, Massachusetts, and Michigan.
There’s also normal MEAL delivery. DoorDash says Valentine’s Day has been the #1 day of the entire year for premium restaurant orders, including: Lobsters, scallops, steak, oysters, and sushi.
