The Winter Olympics Are a Week Away – 30% of People Don’t Care

Believe it or not, it’s time for the Olympics again.  The Winter Olympics kick off in Italy NEXT Friday, so we’re just one week away, and they run through February 22nd.

A new poll asked more than 9,000 Americans how AMPED they were, and generally the excitement is . . . meh.

7% of people say they will tune in every single day.  Another 17% say they will watch whenever they can.

33% said they will probably watch “a few events”, and another 30% say they aren’t planning on watching ANY of them.  12% “aren’t sure.”

Men are slightly more excited than women.  And older folks were more likely to say they’re going to watch it every day.  Gen Z’ers were most likely to say they’d watch when they could, so they’re apparently not adjusting their busy schedules to watch.

As for the Opening Ceremony next Friday, 18% say they will watch it LIVE, beginning at 2:00 P.M. Eastern.  12% will check it out on delay.  8% will look for clips on social media.  And 44% say they’ll pass on it.
