They say all “influencers” are chasing after a viral lottery ticket, and the latest way to do it is: Creating jingles for soda companies. (???)
Last week, Dr Pepper used a woman’s Dr Pepper “theme song” in a new ad campaign. She seemed to craft it off the cuff, playfully singing, “Dr Pepper baby. It’s good and nice. Doo, doo, doo.”
Rumor has it, that woman scored $2 MILLION for her several seconds of fame, so now, everyone is trying to do the same thing.
Someone secretly recorded their dad as he riffed on a jingle for Coca-Cola, singing, “It ain’t SOOOdah if it ain’t Coca Cola.” (There’s an UNCENSORED S-word at the end of that clip. He also did one for Popeyes.)
Someone else tackled Mountain Dew, belting out, “MOUUUNTAIN DEWW . . . ISS FA YUUUUHHH.” (They also tried Welch’s Fruit Snacks, Mastercard, Uber, and Hidden Valley Ranch, which is by far the best.)
Some guy did a couple takes for Orange Crush. (Here’s one, and the other.) And three people teamed up to do an elaborate jingle for Sprite.
