If you’re hosting a Super Bowl party, and you’re thinking you might need to buy a KEG, Heinz has you covered. That is, assuming you were thinking about a keg of KETCHUP.
Heinz has just launched something called the “KegChup,” which is a 19.5-inch, 10-pound ketchup dispenser, that holds 114 ounces of ketchup.
It’s shaped like a beer keg, and there’s a pump dispenser at the top, sort of like how you get ketchup at a sporting event. The added bonus is that you don’t have to shake it, squeeze it, or wait for it to pour out on its own.
Obviously this is probably way more ketchup than you’d need, unless your Super Bowl party is a full-on parking lot tailgate, but it’s a conversation starter for sure.
They say they will be making KegChups available for sale later this year, but you can enter a contest to get one early, hopefully in time for the Super Bowl.
To do that, you have to enter through Heinz’s Instagram by TOMORROW. They are only accepting entries for a couple of days, so if you act fast, there’s a chance to land one of these things. Five winners will be selected.
It’s unclear where you’ll be able to buy them if you don’t win, or how much they’ll cost, but the contest rules say each keg is valued at $175.
The main draw is obviously the KegChup contraption. It isn’t hard to actually buy this much Heinz. If you’re a member at Costco, they’re selling a three-pack of large, regular-shaped 44-ounce bottles for $10.59. So that’s 132 ounces, more than the KegChup, for less than $11. However, you will need to shake and squeeze those bottles.
