The Most Trustworthy U.S. Accents, Include “The Princess and the Frog”?

Have you ever thought about why you might TRUST all the characters in “Good Will Hunting” and “The Princess and the Frog”, but NOT all the “characters” in “Jersey Shore”?

Some (VERY loose) new “research” analyzed 14 different American accents to figure out which ones are the most and least TRUSTWORTHY.

This process involved looking at “internet search interest around the friendliness and professionalism of each accent, along with financial crimes, the number of lawyers, and the number of primary care doctors associated with each regional accent.”  So yeah, this is LESS science, and MORE “fun.”

In the end, the six most trustworthy accents in the U.S. are:

1.  Boston accents.

2.  Cajun accents.

3.  Philadelphia accents.

4.  California accents.

5.  New York accents.

6.  Texas accents.

And the six least trustworthy accents in the U.S. are:

1.  Mountain West accents.

2.  New Jersey accents.

3.  Southern accents.

4.  Hawaiian accents.

5.  Midwestern accents.

6.  Florida accents.

The “friendliest” accent is the New York accent.  The accent most linked to “financial crimes” was the Midwestern accent.  (And, I assume, Florida accents were the most linked to STUPID CRIMINALS.)
