The States That Are the Most and Least Enthusiastic About Pickles

It isn’t often that we hear about North and South Dakota, so would you know what sets them apart from the rest of the country?  Turns out, the Dakotas love, PICKLES, a lot.

Instacart just released some data on pickle orders across the country, for whatever reason.  And the states with the HIGHEST rate of pickle orders were:  North Dakota and South Dakota.

Generally, pickles seem to be the most popular in the middle of the country.  According to the report, Wisconsin is third, followed by Iowa, West Virginia, Vermont, Mississippi, Minnesota, Arkansas, and Kansas.

The state that’s the LEAST into pickles is:  Florida, followed by Hawaii, California, Washington, D.C., New Jersey, Nevada, New York, and Maryland.

(Here’s the full map.)

If you’re curious, the top brands nationwide are:  Mt. Olive, Vlasic, Claussen, Oh Snap!, and Grillo’s Pickles.  North Dakota’s top pick is Gedney Pickles out of Minnesota.
