1. “Humanol” was a real, pharmaceutical product made from liquefied human fat. It was used over 100 years ago, for things like “surgical treatment of scars, wound disinfection, and wound revisions.”
2. The state that manufactures the most guns is New Hampshire. It’s followed by Missouri, Florida, North Carolina, and Mississippi. (This is based on total gun production volume, not the most manufacturer licenses.)
3. Harvard University was founded before calculus was invented. Harvard was established in 1636, calculus wasn’t created until 1684.
4. WWW is the only three-letter acronym that has three times more syllables than what it stands for. WWW is nine syllables, “world wide web” is three.
5. U.S. Mail was actually delivered TWICE a day (at least), until April of 1950.
