Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .
1. A nun in New York City shielded a toddler from a falling tree during the big storm that happened this week. She was watching the kid while he played outside near a convent on West 51st Street. She shielded him with her body. But luckily, the tree missed them by a few feet. A security camera got it on video.
2. BuzzFeed put together a big list of good news stories you might have missed. There’s a lot of negative news out there, and positive stuff gets buried. They got them from a Reddit post where someone asked people to share “positive news that’s flown under the radar.”
3. A horse in Virginia is now a world record holder for oldest horse in the world. Her name is Fancy, and she’ll be 38 in a few weeks. She was born on April Fools’ Day in 1988.
(The oldest horse ever supposedly died at age 62. Guinness says the age was “reliably recorded,” but it was back in 1822. So, who knows if that’s really true.)
