Have you ever gotten this as a gift? Or given it as a gift, then wondered if the person HATED you for it?
Someone polled 20,000 Americans and asked if a “DONATION IN YOUR NAME” is actually a good gift, or a bad one.
They didn’t ask about specific non-profits. Just any charity the person might pick because it’s important to them.
It turns out most Americans DO think it’s a good gift. 56% said yes.
Another 38% said it’s not good or bad. More like, “Oh, cool, whatever.”
If you think it’s a fully LAME gift, you’re not alone, but you’re almost alone. Just 6% of Americans agree.
