Most accents that Americans are attracted to are FOREIGN, maybe because they feel exotic. But there are some regional ones people love here in the U.S., like the ones in “The Princess and the Frog“. (???)
There’s a new list of the most-loved regional accents across America, and Southern Louisiana’s Cajun accent was #1. Channing Tatum uses it for Gambit in “Deadpool & Wolverine”. 32.7% of people have a positive reaction to it.

2. The Long Island accent, 27.8% of people have a positive reaction to it.
3. The Mississippi accent, 27.3%
4. A tie between the Florida accent, and the Pacific Northwest accent, 26.1%
5. The Maine accent, 25.2%
6. The Appalachian accent, 23.5%
7. A tie between the Boston accent and the High Tider accent, 23.1%
8. A tie between the Louisiana accent and the New England accent, 22.6%
9. The Staten Island accent, 21.8%
10. The Philadelphia accent, 20.2%.
They also listed the “most attractive English-speaking” celebrities, American and British, where attractiveness involves the “ideal vocal pitch.”
The three most attractive MALE voices are: British actors Theo James (“The White Lotus”) and Hugh Laurie (“House”), followed by John Goodman. (???)
Others in the Top 10 are: Bryan Cranston, Eddie Murphy, Andy Serkis, Tim Curry, Austin Butler, Ryan Reynolds, and Tom Hiddleston.
The three most attractive FEMALE voices are: Emma Watson, Sophia Bush, and British singer Kate Bush, who did “Running Up That Hill”.
Others in the Top 10 are: Jennifer Tilly, Emily Blunt, Scarlett Johansson, Ellie Goulding, Natasha Lyonne, Taylor Swift, and Julie Andrews.
