A Third of People Wear Their Fitbit During Sex So It Counts as Exercise

You can always tell when someone starts wearing a Fitbit.  They realize what a sedentary loaf of a human being they are, become OBSESSED with the number of steps they take each day, and count everything as exercise.  And apparently, that’s leading lots of people to count sex as a fitness activity.

A new survey found 79% of people think sex is a legitimate form of exercise.  And one-third of people who have a fitness tracker wear it when they’re getting it on.  And only one out of 10 ADMIT to the other person that they’re counting sex toward their daily exercise goal.  But 9% say they actually try to make sex last LONGER to get more fitness benefits out of it.

Now, whether sex really IS exercise is up for debate.  A study a few years ago by the University of Montreal found men burn an average of 4.2 calories a minute during sex, and women burn 3.1 calories a minute.
