A couple from Israel named Danielle Eden and Rob Scheinberg opened a shelter in Toronto about two years ago, for dogs that are either disabled, or can’t get adopted because they’re old or abused. It’s about 50 acres, so there’s plenty of room. And they’re constantly bringing in new rescues from other shelters, usually 10 or 20 at a time.
