Beyoncé Pays Homage To R&B Singer Toni Braxton By Dressing As Her For Halloween

Beyoncé paid tribute to Toni Braxton with a Halloween costume that earned Braxton’s seal of approval. Beyoncé recreated the cover of Braxton’s 1993 single “Another Sad Love Song”, posing in a white tank top with a black leather jacket just as Braxton did 25 years ago. Beyoncé even wore her hair in a short pixie cut like Braxton did back when the single was first released. Beyoncé poked fun by calling herself “Phoni Braxton.” Beyoncé posted the pictures and wrote on Instagram, “sending love and adoration to one of our talented legends. Thank you for the countless bops. Your tone, your beauty, your range, and your God-given talent is treasured. Loving you always. Have a Happy Halloween my Kings and Queens.” In response, Braxton replied: “Phoni Braxton!? NEVER!!!” How do you look better than me on MY album cover? I LOVE IT, Such a superstar! Thanks for the love sis! Happy Halloween.”  Check out the pictures in the link below.

Pharrell Sends Cease & Desist Letter To President Trump For Playing “Happy” At Rally After Synagogue Shooting

Shortly after the Tree of Life synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh on Saturday, October 27, President Trump spoke at an Illinois rally and used Pharrell’s song “Happy” during the event. Now, Pharrell has issued a cease and desist letter to the President, asking him to stop from ever using it again. Attorney Howard King wrote in the letter, “on the day of the mass murder of 11 human beings at the hands of a deranged ‘nationalist,’ you played his song ‘Happy’ to a crowd at a political event in Indiana. There was nothing ‘happy’ about the tragedy inflicted upon our country on Saturday and no permission was granted for your use of this song for this purpose.” The letter went on to say that Pharrell “has not and will not grant Trump permission to publicly perform or otherwise disseminate his music, and claims the use of ‘Happy’ without his consent constitutes both copyright and trademark infringement.”
