6LACK has apologized to fans after canceling his planned “10 Years of 6LACK Tour,” using a surprise freestyle, “Everywhere At Once (Tour Talk),” to explain his decision.
The R&B artist addressed the cancellation in a statement accompanying the track, saying, “To my folks that were looking forward to our usual fall tour, my apologies and thank you. We’ve built up a big family over the years, and I’ll never take it for granted, but it’s necessary to take some time right now.” He added, “The family is safe. I’m good. Work still to be done. Just can’t be everywhere at once.”
“Everywhere At Once (Tour Talk)” arrives amid the rollout of music and visuals connected to 6LACK’s recent work, including “I Guess” and “On Me,” the latter featuring Odeal. Produced by Childish Major, “Everywhere At Once (Tour Talk)” reflects on 6LACK’s decade-long career, personal growth and the increasing responsibilities that have accompanied his success. The freestyle also touches on his growing family, including the arrival of a new addition last year, while expressing appreciation for the listeners who have supported him throughout his career.
The track also offers a glimpse into 6LACK’s plans for the future. Rather than signaling an end to touring, the song closes with the prospect of returning to the road when the timing is right. The cancellation follows an earlier wave of uncertainty surrounding the tour, which was originally scheduled to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut album and include dates across Europe and North America.
