British R&B and soul trio FLO – comprised of Stella Quaresma, Jorja Douglas and Renée Downer – will be honored with the 2026 ASCAP Vanguard Award. The accolade, which recognizes the group’s growing influence on contemporary music and its role in shaping the future of R&B, will be presented during the 2026 ASCAP London Celebrate Songwriters and Composers event on June 16.
Presented by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), the award honors artists whose innovative work is helping define the next generation of music. Previous recipients have included Dua Lipa, Victoria Monét and St. Vincent. Announcing the honor, Paul Williams praised the trio’s impact on the genre, stating, “FLO are redefining R’n’B with incredible chops and style. As they continue to build on their remarkable creative achievements, we’re proud to honor FLO with the Vanguard Award.”
ASCAP’s June 16 event will also recognize British songwriters and composers whose work achieved success in the United States across music, film and television. FLO is expected to attend the ceremony in London to accept the honor.
The award arrives just weeks before the release of FLO’s second studio album, Therapy At The Club, scheduled for July 24. The project explores themes of heartbreak, healing, self-confidence and emotional growth, with the group taking a larger role in the songwriting and production process alongside collaborators including Amy Allen, Julian Bunetta and Sevyn Streeter.
