There’s a misconception that they’re attracted to dirty or dingy spots. But they really just like fabric, the warmth and smell of our bodies, and the carbon dioxide we exhale.
That means they could be hiding in or around the mattress, or under the cloth straps on those luggage stands. Even in nice hotels.
He says the best thing to do is just unpack your essentials. Then zip your bag up, and put it in the bathroom, or on a coffee table or desk.
