The Weeknd Donates $500K To Racial Justice Initiative

The Weeknd has donated $500,000 to Black Lives Matter Global Network, Colin Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Camp and National Bail Out. The artist is urging his nearly 23 million Instagram followers to follow his lead, saying, “Keep supporting our brothers and sisters out there risking everything to push for actual change for our black lives. Urging everyone with big pockets to give and give big and if you have less please give what you can even if it’s a small amount.”

Record Store Day 2020 Expands To Three Days To Include Releases By Eminem, The Notorious B.I.G. And More

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Record Store Day 2020 will look dramatically different this year. Typically a one-day event, this year’s Record Store Day will be spread across three days: Aug. 29, Sept. 26 and Oct. 24. As always, artists will drop special titles for Record Store Day that can be purchased at independent music stores across the country. The event was originally set for April 18 and then shifted to June 20 before the latest dates were revealed.

Tyler, The Creator Joins Protestors Despite Damage To His Los Angeles GOLF Store

Tyler, The Creator took a stand after his GOLF shop was damaged during recent protests in Los Angeles.  The Fairfax District in Los Angeles was hit by protestors and looters, leaving shops like Flight Club and others damaged. Other properties, including the flagship GOLF store — selling Tyler, The Creator’s clothing brand — was also affected; but that didn’t stop the rapper from joining the thousands of protestors hitting the streets to let their voices be heard.
